From what LiveJournal is telling me, I have not entered a post in over 18 weeks.
Seems kind of long to not post an update.

So here is the skinny...

WORK-
As of August 1st, my status at the Venetian went from on-call to part-time complete with a shiny new 6 month contract and a 5 night outside shift. I can't begin to tell what a relief it is not to have to call in every night at midnight, hope that perhaps someone might call in sick or the shift is short, and then be disappointed that their is nothing available. Now, I can focus on more important venues, like creating my own Photography Studio.

PHOTOGRAPHY-
At this moment Macagi Studios is up and running, but is still in it's early stages of development. I will admit, I have been on the lazy side, not really doing much to promote myself. I do have a few clients in the wings, and hopefully "The Short Bus Comedy" Crew might be needing some new photos for their show and I was recommended as a photographer.

THE REST-
Everything else in life is still the same ebb and flow of good days and bad. I can report that there are definitely more good days than bad at the present moment, and I am doing all that I can to keep in that position.

That is all... for now.

KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

There may be days
when you get up in the morning
and things aren't the way
you had hoped they would be.
That's when you have to
tell yourself that things will get better.

There are times when people
disappoint you and let you down,
but those are the times
when you must remind yourself
to trust your own judgments and opinions,
and to keep your life focused on believing in yourself
and all that you are capable of.

There will be challenges to face
and changes to make in your life,
and it is up to you to accept them.
Constantly keep yourself headed
in the right directions for you.
It may not be easy at times,
but in those times of struggle
you will find a stronger sense of who you are,
and you will also see yourself
developing into the person
you have always wanted to be.

Life is a journey through time,
filled with many choices;
each of us will experience life
in our own special way.

So when the days come that are filled
with frustration and unexpected responsibilities,
remember to believe in yourself
and all you want your life to be,
because the challenges and changes
will only help you to find the dreams
that you know are meant to come true for you.

Not only do I get to do something that I feel I am really good at and get paid alittle scratch for it, but I also get to work with incredibly beautiful and talented individuals such as the wonderful woman who's picture is above.

I can't wait to bring this new found knowledge and experience back with me to the states.

In 3 days.

This was my Horoscope for today...

You have everything you need to make your dreams come true today. You have the energy, and most importantly, you're getting the green light from those in power. Everyone and their brother has some advice they think you should hear, but you don't need instructions from people to know how to run your own life! Being a part of a community is important, but today you should realize that your first priority is to yourself. So go off on your own and leave all the advice behind.

I kind of feel it is appropriate for what lies ahead in the next few weeks.

Will have a complete and full review of the life and times in Macau once I have a chance to completely and fully review it.

30 Days...

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
December has fallen upon us once again, and remembering the highlights of the past 335 days have spawned me to hit the ground running and blast the door of 2009 open with an Ultra-Mega-Combo-Slash move! So, for the next 30 days, I am initiating: The Mr. Macagi-30 Day-Ultra-Mega-Combo-Slash Move Program. This program will adhere to the usual standard physical and mental preparations needed for the New Year, but also will include a Maxx Factor to where I will try to do something out of the box of my personal programming, or travel to somewhere that I have never been before and live to tell about it.

Where in the World is Mr. Macagi?? Keep reading and you will know…

MAN SUES "TRON"

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
This happened in April, but I had to share...

The United Digital News website, has confirmed reports of ''a man suing the fictional character of TRON from the 1982 cult classic film of the same name''. The tech news website, popular among nerd and geek communities, has been able to authenticate rumors that a man has indeed filed a lawsuit against TRON himself, the security program portrayed in our favorite film by actor Bruce Boxleitner.

Just to clarify, Bruce Boxleitner, who played TRON in the film, is not being sued. As was said in the opening statement: TRON, the fictional character in the film, is listed as the defendant on the legal papers filed last week in Seattle Washington.

Rodger S. Muller, proprietor of a small citrus fruit drying business, field suit against ‘'TRON'' because he feels unable to keep up with the growing demands of today's digital threats. Mr. Muller basically asserts that if TRON had done his job, then the ‘'grid bugs'' (what most people might refer to as viruses or malware) would stop causing trouble on his computer.

‘'Every other time I go to balance the books or order supplies for my business, my computer slows down and eventually crashes. I'm no idiot - I know what's going on in there. My programs are under constant attack from grid bugs. TRON should have either done his job better or just let the MCP run the system. Since TRON derezzed the MCP and failed to secure the system [himself], those gosh darn grid bugs are costing me time and money...'' -- Rodger S. Muller

There are several rambling quotes from the angry plaintiff available on the UDN website - many of which sound like an extreme TRON fanatic gone wrong or maybe someone who just needs a nice long, relaxing vacation under close supervision. Some of his quotes are fairly humorous, including a reference to the digitized orange in the film and how ''...drying orange slices isn't as simple as deconstructing them with a laser and storing them as data inside a computer...'' What?? LOL

Because there is no law against filing suit against fictitious people, or in this case fictitious security programs, there is a good chance the lawsuit will actually go before a live jury and we'll all get to hear about it in the news. Shortly after the suit was filed, judge Amelia Swensing ordered a full psychiatric evaluation of Mr. Muller before any court proceedings take place.

I don't know what to say, folks. Will this be good publicity for our beloved film TRON, or will the jokes start flying about how TRON fans have dried citrus fruit for brains? Either way, I suggest giving the article a good read when you have some time. It is a long article, and slightly disturbing at times, but worth a look:

Ancient Chinese Secret

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
People have told me that when you are traveling, that if you have or wear a piece of Jade, it will protect the bearer from evils and will bring good luck to you on your journey.

I believe.

Having tested this theroy out many times in my travels, today sealed the deal.

On my way to the Airport this morning, I chose to take the Macau Ferry line straight to the Hong Kong Airport to eliminate me having to lug all of my bags through the HK Subway system. When I got to the front of the line there was a snag in my plan because the attendent was not accepting my hand written information about my flight and would not let me on the ferry. Apparently, you need to have a printed document with all the information. We tried contacting the Travel Agency, even the airline itself to no avail. It was getting close to the boarding time and at this point I was alittle nervous about if this was going to even happen. I plead my case as best as I could and finally, after staring at me for a few minutes, she let me board the ferry.

I don't know the reason for her change of heart, but the only thing I could think of was is that she saw I was wearing a jade necklace, and decided not to mess with the order of the universe and took a chance on me.

I did get a hold of the travel agency to make sure that I was good to go so that what happened to me would not repeat itself once I got to the airport. Thankfully, all was well and the rest of the way was clear and I was departing Hong Kong, pit stop in Manila and Vancover, and then straight on to Las Vegas.

Thank You Traveling Jade.

Feeling Better

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Almost had to work today, but when I got to work I realized that the day that I was supposed to be covering was next week instead of this. Happy Me!! I grabbed a free breakfast from our employee dining room and headed straight home for some rest and recovery time.

Didn't get much accomplished though. Slept a bit, straightened up the house a tad, and played WoW until my butt was sore. I did manage to get my laundry though, which sounds silly, but after the now again off again weather changes, it took alot of energy to make me walk down the block and a half to go get it. It is for tis reason that I can say: "I Despise the Rain!" Sure on a blue moon when you are with your girl and it's all romantic like, sure. But everyday walking to work, getting soaked to the bone, and then having to walk back in those same nasty ass clothes...no thank you. Of course, I will usually catch a cab on those days, but every once in a while I get caught and believe me, I'm not singing.

But I can say that I am feeling like my old self again. Tomorrow will be another day and all will be well.

Next Blog: All positive!! I promise!!

I was going to do alittle blogging about what is on the horizon for me, but I am starting to come down with a sinus infection or something of that nature. People have been passing it around the dock all week, and it was just my turn to get it. I will try to get something more up in a few days when I am feeling alittle better.
